Rooms are furnished to a good standard, the bar and breakfast area are all very pleasant. Unfortunately the Radisson SLC seems to be on borrowed time, and certainly doesn't reflect the quality of service or amenities as seen in Europe. Having just recently stayed at a 4-star hotel by comparison this Radisson was far better as a 3.5-star than the other hotel I stayed at.I find it frustrating when a hotel doesn't do enough to instill some basic processes and disciplines. ![]() Especially as the weather was awful the main day i was there, the comfort and location really helped offset the elements. All in all, a very relaxing stay thanks in great part to the Radisson. So kind of in-between places in a way, especially if staying on a Saturday night as lots of SLC is closed on Sundays. Not really many negatives other than, while a decent location, not much open right nearby at night (gas station about 3 blocks away is it). The positives were: Comfortable beds, neat almost boutique decor, late checkout per Radisson policy (if room not needed the checkout day), right on Trax (lightrail) line to/from airport and to/from/connecting to just about everything else, free bottled water in room, and very friendly/helpful front-desk staff. ![]() I contemplated a 4-star vs this 3.5-star and boy am I glad I stayed here. Just completed my first-ever visit to SLC and the Radisson Downtown was my choice via Hotwire.
